The Iraqi Journal of Embryos and Infertility Researches (IJEIR) is committed to a fair, objective, and transparent editorial process. We recognize that authors may occasionally disagree with editorial decisions or encounter issues during the publication process.
To ensure fairness, IJEIR provides a structured mechanism for authors to submit appeals against rejection decisions or file general complaints regarding the journal's processes.
Appeals Against Editorial Decisions
Authors have the right to appeal a decision to reject their manuscript if they strongly believe the decision was based on a misunderstanding of the scientific content, a factual error by a reviewer, or a procedural flaw.
How to Submit an Appeal:
- Appeals must be submitted in writing via email to the Editor-in-Chief at the official editorial email address (
[email protected]) within 30 days of receiving the rejection decision.
- The appeal must include a detailed rebuttal letter. This letter should explicitly address the reviewers' and editor's comments point-by-point, providing concrete scientific evidence or pointing out factual errors in the reviews.
- Revised manuscripts should not be submitted alongside the appeal unless specifically requested by the Editor.
Appeal Handling Process:
- The Editor-in-Chief, often in consultation with the Handling Editor or a senior member of the Editorial Board, will review the appeal.
- If the appeal is deemed justified, the manuscript may be sent to new, independent reviewers for a fresh evaluation.
- The decision on the appeal by the Editor-in-Chief is final. Multiple appeals for the same manuscript will not be considered.
